do you like to eat banana?

today is the day like another. for this week, we have something to do. as usual, we all have to keep ourselves prepared and get attached to pc. Pn. Foziah showed us her collections of ebook and i think its cute. yeah it was. i like the "Keluarga Saya" ebook. it was so cute. the animations and effects play their roles effectively and make all of us woke up and amazed! it was simple yet it delivered a very strong value in our life- family. moreover, it shows our appreciation towards our relationship with families. great job Puan! after 3 to 4 ebook had been showed, she set a task. it was ebook. in pairwork. then, i was thinking of banana. i would like to make it as our topic for ebook. i found a reading text on banana for UPSR candidates and i thought it was good if i use as input in our ebook. of course i have to edit it! the reading text on bananas seemed to be heavy for primary kids. i think i need to adapt it and modify a bit to ensure that my learning outcomes could be achieved. yeah. i'll be thinking on it. by the way, my partner, Jaswinder and i didn't sign any agreement about that yet. so, you have to wait... tata!

charlie and lola

our group had been assigned to a new task and forgive me, too many tasks till i couldn't recall one. but for this one, the task required us to find materials via internet that related to our topic- travel and adventure. yeah, it tested our internet skills. from searching to downloading, from downloading to saving, from saving to editing and many more. the topic travel and adventure is quite tough. it took hours for us to search for appropriate videos because our target audience was Year 5 pupils. luckily, we found two videos from youtube that i considered them very very cute and suitable to kids. the videos entitled Charlie and Lola. it's all about going places. you should check-out the videos. it's so nice and attractive. kids would love it. we downloaded the videos by using real player downloader. sorry if you see me as a real player big fan. i'm so get attached to it because it is easy and user-friendly. you just go the youtube webpage and when you play the videos, you can see "Click to download this video" on the right side of the video. just click on it! and it will automatically download it for you. you just have to wait. but it won't take your life time! don't afraid! it's so quick. so quick! believe me! don't trust me? go to this website, download the real player downloader and experience the magical world of real player: http://www.realplayer.com.au/. yet, we still didn't satisfied with what we have, we tried to search for songs, articles, pictures and poems that related to our topic. amazingly, we managed to find various pictures on Yahoo.com, Deviantart.com and Flickr.com. besides, we also downloaded songs by using various software i.e Ares and 4shared.com. not enough with that, we added our collections with poems which we browsed through Yahoo.com. now all settled up and tutorials waited for us. next things, we have to do tutorials on how we searched the materials and the steps of tutorials must be from A to Z. sorry my dear group members, i really don't have any idea on how to make a tutorial. i'm totally blank! then learning took place... (*credit to Zul). he taught me on how to print screen and if i want to make my tutorial look effective and smart, i could use paint and show the arrow or circle the place that i wanted to emphasize. oh! now i know. is people like me still exist in this 21st century. thanks God. anyway, i sighed. my pocket knowledge is full with this thingy internet skills and i feel like blowing up! yeah. back to tutorials, zul gave me chances to try out doing it. i could do it! it's amazing (for me only) :) now everything has settled, i can breath "...ahh". thanks to my group members who are always be supportive and help me a lot to survive in this course. muacks!

a pool of sorry..

two days before my group members and i were all left for holidays, our lecturer was assigned us with a new task on video editing. the task required us to edit the episode 9 of So You Think You Can Dance from 8tv shows and combine them from first part till last. i'm not feeling well in that morning which we supposed to discuss and do things together. so i'm not involved. then, Zima told me that i could contribute by trying to download episode 9, part 3 at my home. unluckily, i couldn't manage to watch the video. that made me stuck and puzzled me. then i tried to download adobe flash player from the net and the problem raised again, my internet connection kept disconnect and it made the downloading process took so long time. i was regret. i tried and tried again. but failed. then Zima asked me to come to UM so we could do together. the problem raised again as my broadband devices couldn't be detected by Zima's laptop. then we were struggled to use Huda's laptop. Fortunately, the internet connection ran smoothly and we could do things fast by using real player downloader. i sighed. later, everyone was having elective classes as well as me too. our works couldn't be continued. then the works burdened tomorrow. tomorrow morning came... i was unable to wake up as the pain seemed to get worst. i couldn't even hold my hand phone. i was totally blank on what happening on that day. on that night, i have to leave KL and went back to my hometown. for my group members, i really sorry for the incident. i really really really sorry. now i realized that teamwork spirit is really important.

chaos-tic!

i went to the class. so hungry as i woke up late. but this morning was different. we assembled in front of the door. waited for the door to be opened. i felt like going to cinema where everybody marching to get the tickets. yeah, i have to fast. to get seated. to get a pc in front of me. to get comfortable. everybody rushing. situation getting chaos as everyone kept pushing. then came my lecturer. she asked us to form a group. 1st rule: your group must be mixed races and gender. i just like that idea. now everybody has to learn to work with others. its cooperative learning. 4 years we've been together and i really felt like its not a big deal for us. there goes my expectations. the class turned to be chaos. turned to be a market. i'm lost again. everybody was busily booked her lah, him lah and so on till i really cant find which is which and who is who. then, the problem solved. some more, we have to set up our own blogspot page. again, she lined us with another rules. 2nd rule: set your blog by using your real name. then the class turned to be chaos again. why there are so many rules? i'm sure she has the reasons. whatever it is, i wish the next class will be better than this week. :)

Current mood: Blur

it was 10 a.m. i was listening to Bic Runga song. it was a lovely morning with lovely song. i, myself, was so eager to enter the class as i really want to experience how the life and the lecture of university student would be. then here came another character in my life, Pn. Foziah. she's my lecturer for this course of PBEY3102. but she kept blabbering for the 3 hours and i cant really understand what she wanted from us. she said it too fast. yeah. there goes my lovely morning. i was totally lost. i felt like i was in my own world. she did mentioned about too many softwares and i just could recall two of them.

me: keepvid? limewire? can somebody tell me what are they?

my friend: they are softwares asma... for you to download whatever you want straightly from internet.

... as well as hardwares too. but i'm not surprise as i really familiar with them. but then,

me: do i need to buy 4 GB pendrive or external hardrive to survive in this course?

my friend: yeah. you have to. just do what she wanted us to do.

oh, now i know. but i still wondering how this course would be? did the lecturer really have to go supervise one by one? or through chatting & ym? how? damn! i really blurred! really blurred. even she asked us to ask questions, i still get blurred. huh, its not a mystery case. but its mystery for me. i wish i could learn more and try to be ear-sensitive and grab her instructions in quick!

love is subjective

"love is subjective"-check out this video, you'll understand what i meant by subjective.

actually, love is subjective its a theme for my video which has been released in youtube for about 3 days ago. yeah, it is another video editing task. so, my partner, Jaswinder Kaur and i were not doing it for fun. we have purpose for that. Jaswinder in south and me in north. that's the 1st problems. Nevermind, we have yahoo messenger. thanks to Yahoo. Initially, Jaswinder did it for the first part but failed to send it to me. she was using Cyberlink Power Director. but my pc in my hometown do not have that software. by hook or by crook, i have to download it. Strenghts and weaknesses go hand-in-hand. to download Cyberlink Power Director, it took hours to finish it. But yet, i can see the beauty of it. it appears to be user-friendly and easy to be explored which make me felt in love to that gadget. to promote, it is more up-to-date compared to Windows Movie Maker. :) Finally, our video was successfully published! i couldn't wait to email it to Jaswinder and see her responds. but then, problems came without having me to call for it! Jaswinder asked me to upload it through megaupload.com but the uploading process took so long time and it kept stopped. then i tried and tried again. the same problems occured. i waited for one day (day & night) but the uploading process still showed the bad sign. then, i tried to send it to her email. again, same problems occur. in youtube? also the same. huh. two days, days changes to night, nights changes to days, i've been in front of the pc just to send it to her. then... "hey sista, the pc is going to explode if you keep using it!" said my brother in angry. yeah. i should shut down the pc. but i'm not happy with that. my heart and my brain couldn't stop thinking about the video. messages from jaswinder kept haunting me. after 1 hour, i switched on my pc. then i tried to send it again. again, it failed! i almost give up! then... the light came to shine the darkness. it was Wai who was on the line. she asked me about the size of my video. it was 846.5 MB.

Wai: "Oh, my God! You can't even upload it till you die".

Me: "Why?" (in curious mode)

Wai: "It's too big! very big! you have to resize it. You have to do in Windows Movie Maker and republish the video for about 50-80 MB"

Me: "Oh, tq so much!" (i'm learning something new. yeay!)

lastly, it was heaven! i managed to upload it youtube. (*credit to Wai) Successfully, the comments that we gained were all positive and indirectly signifies something good for us. here are they...

By rimalamu: The video is very colourful and eye-capturing. (me- tq!)

By bhavarita: excellent...no words to describe ur video..love is damn.......SUBJECTIVE!agree wit u... (me- you should agree with us as love is always be surrounds us. without love, life would be empty and full of darkness)

By kasgovind: great job guls.i really like the music.keep it up ur work! (me- hope the next task would be on the day we are all in UM.. :)

By pbey310208: cool video...but it's always you and you as usual...=D (me- my partner n i were sooooooooooooooooooooooo PROUD to have that "love" in our real life. =D)

By lordcrazex: chilly at first but a great work at the end (me- i put you in curious mode at the beginning :p )

By mkomathi: nicely put...Love is indeed subjective. Nice work girls... (me- i think it will be better if the task was not given on the *holiday*- i mean holiday is the day we supposed to rest and have some privacy to make our things done! lalalala....)

so friends, enjoy watching and thanks for reading!

becoming a DJ

check check 123.. done with photo editing, i'm jumping into audio editing. initially, i really have no idea on how to edit audio. so contrast to photo editing. there's lots of software in the market, but, i managed to explore two software in time, Audacity & Easymp3 cutter. it was hard. yeah, it's really are. still, i sighed, i'm learning something new. at least. i chose to use Audacity to edit the songs and it can be downloaded straight from Download.com. don't panic! the downloading process won't steal your golden time. it's quick. it was easy. i enjoyed myself while doing it. the tools are easy-going when you can cut and paste the songs that you want to combine or anything that you want to. for this task, i was using Fluorescent Adolescent song by Arctic Monkeys. i used that song because it has been covered by another artist, Kate Nash. same song, different vocals. i thought it'll be easier and nicer to combine both of them but it hard actually. i used 7 days to explore and adapt myself to the software. its look easy but its not easy at all. my blue print was like this, i wanted to cut each song into two and combine them to become one. the steps were like this, i cut the song by Kate Nash into two and took the 1st part. For 2nd song by Arctic Monkeys, i cut it into two too and took the 2d part. after that, i combined the 1st and 2nd part together. and the result was... TERRIBLE! the 1st part was ok but the 2nd part become slow and echoing! Oh My God! i felt nervous and cold. suddenly i came across effects button. maybe i should apply effects on that? the answer is yes. i tried to use several but the most suitable one was delay effects. perhaps is due to the different sizes of the songs. i don't know. i just guess. Anyway, after 7 days working on audio editing, i was successful to produce a song. a song that be made by me. a song which has two songs in it. a song by different vocals. a song with a delay effect. a song that sounds pretty good. :)

want to listen to the song? click on this link:

What say you?

(p/s: if you are Arctic Monkeys and Kate Nash fan, you will absolutely love this song! enjoy ya!)

the magic of photo

a picture says thousand word... perhaps, it might says two thousand word with the magic of editing. agree?
attending the class of photo editing wasn't a big suprise for me as i'm done with it years ago. normally, i'll edit my photo by using microsoft office manager, photoshop and paint. old-fashion? yeah. i should explore more. i should. the thing is, i like to edit photos for fun & pleasure. i never come across of doing this for assignment. for me, it creates tension and lessen the desire to edit the photos. but i have to bear in mind that i'm still in the process of learning. yeah. go on. i'm using my cousin's photo for the assignment. from coloured photo, i transformed it to become black and white with a bit of lighting effect and "happy teacher's day" wish make the photo totally changed. i think i can do more than that if i were given chances to explore... :)

check out the differences...
