Finally, my partner, Jaswinder and i chose to use "Hardwork Pays" story to be an input in our e-book task. we chose that story because the value in it is so strong. the story portrays love and sacrifices from parents toward their son. even though the parents only work as farmer, but they have a very big dreams for their son. they wanted their son to become a successful son and send him to a boarding school. its mutual love. the son also showed his love towards his parents by studying so hard till he became a doctor. after that, he pays back her parents sacrifices by buying a house in the city and they live happily ever after. the key word is responsibility, from parents to children and from children to parents.
By the way, we personally think that the story is useful to be used not only because it contains a strong moral value but the words and sentences are pretty simple for young learners to learn and comprehend the story. then, we transferred the story to our e-book. we did it via Power Point presentation. 1st, we inserted all the sentences and applied it to all slides. but the sentences seemed to be lonely without pictures, background or animations. then, we decided to search any pictures or animations through Yahoo search engines. luckily, we found many of them. here are the links: http://www.animationfactory.com/en/ , http://www.animationlibrary.com/ , http://www.gifs.net/gif/ There a lot of animations web pages and millions of animations, but make sure you choose the right ones! we try to play the slide shows but the story turned to be boring without music. then we searched again for music. Midi music. that's what we wanted as the story goes on and on.
then we found a midi music entitled Puff and used that. lastly, our e-book has completed! (*sighed)
